Louth County Council Christmas Decorations

OLD plastic bottles, yogurt containers, coat hangers and even corks from wine bottles were used to create a range of eye-catching Christmas decorations for Louth County Council’s annual competition for primary schools. Pupils from Rang 1 – Rang 6 took part in this competition which aims at raising awareness of the potential to reuse everyday materials to make decorations for the festive season.

Unfortunately however only six entries could go forward to represent the school and we would like to congratulated Molly Woods, Caoimhe Moran, Killian Hynes, Oisin Carrol, Niamh Morgan and Shannagh Toner-McCauley, whose fantastic entries go forward to represent our school.
There is no doubt that initiatives such as this keeps Louth to the forefront in recycling nationally, something which we are all extremely proud of. Why not call into the County Council Offices to see examples of some of the pupils’ work on display on their Christmas tree.
