Congratulations to Rang 1 pupil Aoife Morgan

Over the summer, Aoife Morgan (1st class) collected her second “Compostela” in Santiago, Spain.

To earn a “compostela” you have to walk at least 100km of the Camino de Santiago, a “pilgrimage” that has many different routes, all of which end at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, where the bones of the Apostle, St James lie.

Aoife first walked 118km of the Camino Frances with her family in August 2015 when she was only 5 years old. So many blessings followed, that they undertook to do it again to give thanks. They decided to walk again in August 2017 to raise awareness and funds for the local charity, the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT).

KBRT bring home loved ones who have passed away abroad, and to date Aoife and her family have raised just over €500. If you would be interested in making a donation or simply in finding out more about KBRT, please visit the idonate link at:
